Just returning from a Journey...

Edie Ēga and Emma Big are nine year old best friends who set out one day

I have just begun a series of fairie sketches - on the breeze, fun and whimsy!

What a wonderful gift God has given us, the ability to imagine. Spending so much time in studio, can make one a little dull---but some of the benefits comes through the creation of joy, laughter, merriment, sometimes naughtiness and sincerity of the characters I render.

BEE Thinking about Spring.......

Fat fuzzy bumble bees! They are one of the things that I remember when I think of Spring! In studio I have been working on some BEE studies in watercolor. It's been a while since I worked on some of my favorite things (When the bee stings?) and wanted to post them.

My friend Kim sent me this which is so appropriate!

What does an illustrator do when they have a day off????

Yep, illustrate something very fun! Rendering babies are a favorite with me, they are so lovely, expressive, bright-eyed and funny!I will be developing some new characters for the second book in the Randy Kazandy series, mostly red-heads so that probably inspired me with this little one. I'll post more new work...er...I mean fun stuff from the kitchen from time to time.
